"The Big Boogie Woogie & Blues Summit"

"Saturday Night ..." Yes - you are quite right...: This is our main evening of the entire holiday weekend. Our "Festival Blockbuster" -  at the largest concert hall the region has to offer. With a star line-up, where everybody meets who has a shining name in the boogie scene. This year it's going to happen in a density that you haven't seen in a long time. This is a real "Summit"!

After the "steaming" evening of the Grand Masters of Boogie Piano at the Schafberg Railway Remise Steaming, we do have Europe's No. 1 Band of classic Chicago Blues and Boogie Woogie as the star guest of the main Saturday evening program. The MOJO BLUESBAND from Vienna present themselves with a new cast and a new program! We know the bandleader ERIC TRAUNER already longer than we play piano ourselves. He is one of the great pioneers of this music style in Austria and Europe, and he really has the blues and "grooves" now with a new cast yet even more earthy and profound. Because we know the blues grows with life ...

New at the Mojo Blues Band is also guitar virtuoso SIGGI FASSL. You are going to experience what connects him with "Johnny be Good" , and what happens later when he appears on stage together with his "soul brother" ROBERT SHUMY on stage ...

One of them who certainly does not possess less of it, the blues, is the twice German Blues Award winner STEVE "BIGMAN" CLAYTON. As we have already met several times on international stages and have been shaking until to exhaustion, we urgently had to invite him to the Lake premiere to the Wolfgangsee. Steve is one of the best when it comes to Jerry Lee Lewis, Fats Domino and Chuck Berry...

To have GÜNTHER STRAUB again this year in our program, does mean a special pleasure to us. We know already know us since college times and have already shared Boogie & Blues delights in very intensive sessions. Today he is one of the great stars of the scene and has been especially gained recognition in Harlem-Stride piano in the style of Fats Waller, JP Johnson, Luckey Roberts, Dick Wellstood, etc.
